Vector Description

Vector Year

Explore the two models below to see their TSP fund percentages.

A more adaptive approach

Uses research from actively managed and index-based target date funds. Allocations can change as the underlying investment strategies evolve.

A lower maintenance approach

Uses research from index-based target date funds. Allocations generally change more gradually over time.

What does the year mean?

It’s the approximate year you expect to begin using your TSP savings. The models are grouped in five-year steps, so you don’t need an exact match.

From model percentages to your TSP

Each Vector page shows how the model is divided among TSP funds. You can compare those percentages with your current investments or use them as a starting point.

If you decide to follow a model, you make the changes yourself through the official TSP website and review your allocation periodically. TSPvectors never connects to or changes your account.

Important

Find My Vector is an educational tool. It does not consider your complete financial situation, including risk tolerance, pension benefits, other investments, withdrawal needs, or tax circumstances. TSPvectors does not access your TSP account or make changes on your behalf. Participants remain responsible for any investment decisions and account changes. Model portfolios can lose value. Neither approach is guaranteed to outperform the other or a TSP Lifecycle Fund. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
